About Me

Hi, I'm Tammy.

I've always been the person people come to. Not because I had all the answers, but because I knew how to be present with someone in their hardest moments — without rushing them, without fixing them, without making them feel like a problem to be solved. Growing up, I noticed the people on the edges of the room. The ones who looked lost, or lonely, or like they were hoping someone would just acknowledge they existed. I was that someone. I still am.

My mum saw it before I did. She was the one who said, "You should be a counsellor." And she was right.

I grew up in Dubai, where I studied Psychology and coached university athletics — working with young athletes not just on performance, but on the mental side of competing, pressure, and showing up as their best selves. That experience shaped how I work today: I understand that our thoughts, emotions, and sense of self affect everything — in sport, in relationships, and in everyday life.

I moved to Melbourne to complete my Master of Counselling at Victoria University, and I've been building my practice here ever since — rooted in one simple belief: every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and like they genuinely belong.

I work with individuals, young people, parents, and families. Some of the things people come to me with include:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • School refusal, bullying, and exam stress

  • Life transitions and identity

  • Relationship and family difficulties

  • Low self-worth and confidence

  • Grief and loss

  • Anything you've been carrying that you haven't quite been able to say out loud yet

If you're not sure whether what you're experiencing "qualifies" — it does. You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I draw on evidence-based therapeutic frameworks and meet each person where they are — without judgement, without pressure, at your pace.

I offer sessions online for anyone across Australia, as well as Walk & Talk sessions outdoors in Wallan, Victoria — because sometimes the best conversations happen when you're moving through the world rather than sitting still. If you've been curious about what Walk & Talk therapy actually involves, you can read more about it [here].

Whatever brought you here — I'm glad you found your way.
